About the event
Sew Far Sew Good is an introductory workshop on making handmade embroidered pieces through a mixture of learning traditional techniques and tricks from an ‘accidental professional’. The beautiful thing about embroidery is that it is for everyone. It is for accountants and artists, doctors and dancers. Discover how you enjoy this medium by spending the day exploring colours and threads.
In this class, we will cover basic (non-intimidating) colour theory, learn a few fundamental stitches, and colour blending. We will merge all your newfound learnings into a final embroidery.
As part of the class, you are provided with a bespoke take-home kit to keep on with your new project at a leisurely pace. The magic of embroidery is how it slows down time, so we don’t rush you!
