TEN YEARS OF MAKING A RACKET

A decade of serving love.

10 years ago, a friend showed me a pixel-shaped heart wrapped on a tennis racket, and I said, " Challenge accepted Ma Cheri”. I scooted my little hiny off to a car boot sale and as soon as I could, I created my first racket embroidery - a cream squash racket adorned with a rose. The rest, as they say, is a thread-filled decade of friendships and connections. They have been in shops and shows, in the Nike Wimbledon house and in the hands of Drew Barrymore. Most magically, they have been made to facilitate love.
There was a brief moment on the internet this year where everyone was posting photos of themselves from 2016. This was the year my rackets went viral - Thank you, This is Colossal! I quit my hustles as a VJ/designer/photographer/waitress/if-you-need-an-organ-I-have-one-for-you, and became a full-time embroiderer. This isn’t just a throwback — it’s a huge thank you, and to celebrate 10 years of serving love, I will have my biggest What a Racket drop in my store.
