A cosmos of off-cuts. I love this use of saving scraps on black cotton to create mini-worlds.
This was my first exploration into saving threads and creating something beautiful out of a tangled mess. Much like my What a Racket series, or other upcycled projects, I get such a sense of purpose breathing beauty into the less loveable.
After a few other less successful experiments, The Girl Dust project came together. I can see how these worlds tie together.
