This piece was commissioned for the family of a deeply loved woman, Michele.
A badminton player, her talisman was the hummingbird. I was told how one was hovering outside of her door (a rare site in suburban Calgary, Canada). The hummingbird represents healing and hope and is a guide through life's journey. And like Michele, the hummingbird teaches the importance of appreciating the miracle of living and focusing on the positive.
It was such an honour to create this piece.
