Embroidery of Olive from Little Miss Sunshine embroidered onto printed cotton made with DMC cotton and Dinky Dyes silk.
I rewatched the movie on my flight to Canada. The intro scene is so amazing that I had to create something with it. On my flight, I ‘finger-painted ’ it on Procreate (I had left my Apple pencil at home) and stitched this piece while traveling across Canada. It was made on trains and buses, in hotels and hostel rooms, and finally pieced together in South Africa.
This small piece was scanned and turned into a large format print for maximum enjoyment too.
